Offline and local-first
Manage clients offline, with your data on your own device
Yes, Avendo works without an internet connection. In the mobile and desktop apps, the Free plan keeps your clients, jobs, payment status and tasks on your device, never sends them to Avendo's servers and needs no account. Pro and Max add optional cloud sync: you keep working offline, and your changes upload when you are back online.
Download AvendoOffline use is available in the iOS, Android, macOS, Windows and Linux apps. The web app needs a connection.
What you can do without a connection
The apps store records on your device first, so day-to-day client work does not wait for a signal.
Look up and update clients
Open a client's phone numbers, emails, messenger contacts, notes and tags, and edit them on the spot.
Record jobs and appointments
Add a job with its date, time, price, location and notes, and change its status as the work happens.
Keep payment status current
Mark a job as paid, partially paid or overdue right after the visit, even with no network.
Plan the next step
Create tasks linked to a client or job. On iPhone and Android, reminders arrive as local notifications that do not need the internet.
Start offline in four steps
- 1
Install the app
Choose the iOS, Android, macOS, Windows or Linux version on the download page.
- 2
Start locally
Skip sign-up. The Free plan opens straight into a local workspace on that device.
- 3
Add your clients
Type them in, or import them from your phone's contacts on iOS and Android.
- 4
Work as usual
Add jobs, payment status and tasks. Nothing leaves the device while you stay on the Free plan.
What changes when you turn on sync
Cloud sync is part of the Pro and Max plans and requires an account. It adds devices; it does not take offline use away.
Offline edits are queued
Changes you make without a connection are saved on the device and kept in a queue.
Upload happens automatically
When the device is back online, Avendo sends the queued changes and pulls updates from your other devices, without a manual step.
One record, two devices
There is no conflict-resolution screen, so avoid editing the same record on two devices while one of them is offline.
Earlier Free-plan records
Sync sends the changes you make after it is turned on. Records created earlier on the Free plan stay on that device; contact support before upgrading if you need them in your synced workspace.
Local-first organizer compared with a cloud-only CRM
Cloud-only tools keep the main copy of your data on their servers; Avendo starts from the copy on your device.
| Avendo | Cloud-only CRM | |
|---|---|---|
| Where records live | On your device; also in the cloud if you turn on sync (Pro, Max) | On the provider's servers |
| Account needed | No, on the Free plan | Yes |
| Working without internet | Mobile and desktop apps work fully offline | Usually limited or unavailable |
| Using several devices | With cloud sync on Pro or Max | Built in |
| Browser access | Web app on Pro or Max, online only | Usually the main way to work |
Limits to know before you rely on offline use
- The Free plan covers up to 30 clients and 50 active jobs.
- On the Free plan, records exist only on the device where you created them; if that device is lost, so are they. Backup export and restore are Pro features in the mobile apps.
- The web app at app.avendo-app.com needs an internet connection, an account and a Pro or Max plan.
- Reminder notifications are delivered by the iPhone and Android apps.
Offline questions and answers
Does Avendo work offline?
Yes. The iOS, Android, macOS, Windows and Linux apps store your records on the device and work without an internet connection. Only the web app needs to be online.
Can I manage clients without internet?
Yes. You can add and edit clients, jobs, payment status and tasks with no connection. On the Free plan nothing is ever sent to Avendo's servers; on Pro and Max, offline changes upload automatically once you are back online.
Is an account required?
Not for the Free plan in the mobile and desktop apps: you start locally and skip sign-up. An account is needed for cloud sync, the web app and the other Pro and Max features.
What happens when sync is enabled?
Changes are saved on the device first, queued, and sent to your workspace automatically whenever the device is online. Records created earlier on the Free plan are not copied automatically, and there is no conflict-resolution screen.
Does the web version require Pro?
Yes. The web app at app.avendo-app.com requires an account and a Pro or Max plan, and it needs an internet connection. The Free plan runs in the mobile and desktop apps.
Where is data available when offline?
On the device where the app is installed. On the Free plan, that is the only copy. With sync on Pro or Max, each signed-in device keeps its own copy, so your records are available offline on each of them.
What does Avendo not do?
Avendo does not process payments, create PDF invoices, send automatic emails or SMS, or resolve conflicts between devices. It is an organizer for clients, jobs, payment status, tasks and bookings, not accounting software or a sales-pipeline tool.
